Cambridge Research

Deep research on new technologies that give your business the edge it needs

Critical Technology Decisions Can’t Rest on Assumptions

We provide independent analysis of frontier technologies for companies that need technical expertise fast

Organisations undertaking expensive technology programmes all face a similar problem: the digital technologies in these projects are often misunderstood, unreliable at creating value, and carry a large degree of unseen risk. Companies often turn to research as part of their due diligence to help manage this risk and make better predictions on future outcomes.

Unfortunately, their research often falls into two camps: vendor material written to sell and generic market-sizing reports compiled by analysts who are distanced from real projects. Cambridge Research was founded to plug this gap – using real-world experience and business objectives to guide technical research and report writing for our clients.

Introducing
Cambridge Research

Cambridge Research is the analyst arm of Cambridge MC. Our reports are written by industry analysts and experts with decades of experience and a thorough technical understanding of technologies, markets, and the forces at work when they collide.

That background shapes our analysis at every stage. We test our claims against what happens when technology meets a live environment, whether this is a legacy estate, procurement cycle, or a board with a limited appetite for risk. The result is research that tells executives what a technology can do today, what it is likely to do over the next year or two, and signals when there is a mismatch between your vision and operational reality.

Why our Research is Different

We specialist in research designed for executive decision-making

We specialise in the topics that are hardest to research well: technologies still forming their market structure, where the vendor landscape, pricing model and even the terminology are all still moving. That takes direct industry experience to do credibly. It is also where vendor-funded content most often substitutes marketing for judgement, and where generalist research houses tend to publish thin coverage.

Because our analysts also work alongside Cambridge MC’s consulting practice, the same judgement that shapes a client’s transformation programme also informs the report on your desk. For senior executives who need to act immediately on analysis rather than simply read it, we think this makes a huge difference.

What We Offer

We have a range of industry research papers and tailored services to suit the needs of any business venture.

In-Depth Research Reports

In-depth reports on the market opportunities and implementation challenges of frontier technologies, priced competitively. Add one hour with the author for $500, to test the analysis against your own plans or challenge our thinking directly.

AIQ

COMING SOON

AIQ is Cambridge Research’s upcoming subscription service: a queryable, AI-model-based view of a single market topic, updated continuously rather than published once. The first AIQ service will track digital infrastructure densification and its sustainability impact, with further topic areas, including AI, to follow over time.

Bespoke Market Research

In addition to published reports, Cambridge Research undertakes commissioned research for clients who need answers specific to their own market position. This includes custom research and market forecasting; message testing; competitor benchmarking; scorecard development; white papers; and webinars built around the research.

Executive Courses and Webinars

COMING SOON

Cambridge Research also runs workshops and short courses for senior executives and their teams, drawing on the same associate expertise behind our reports. On subjects such as AI and cybersecurity, delivered in person or online. Format, length and pricing are negotiated per project.
