Rinat Abdrasilov

Senior Partner - Banking & Finance

Rinat is a Senior Partner at Cambridge Management Consulting, specialising in strategy, transformation, and governance for banks, fintechs, and telecom operators.

He works with senior leadership teams on building and scaling financial services businesses - including helping telecom operators launch banking and fintech propositions, designing customer-centric products, and aligning strategy, governance and regulatory expectations. His work often sits at the intersection of commercial growth, digital transformation, investor relations, and sustainable business models, particularly in regulated and emerging markets.

Rinat combines consulting with extensive board-level experience, having served on 15 boards of directors across five countries, including listed companies and regulated financial institutions. This allows him to bring a practical, board-tested perspective on governance, risk, remuneration, investor relations and stakeholder management, including in institutions with development finance investors and ESG-linked mandates.

Earlier in his career, Rinat held senior roles in a FTSE100 banking group, leading large-scale transformation and product initiatives. He holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge and has worked and travelled extensively across more than 70 countries, including many markets relevant to financial inclusion, energy transition and real-economy resilience.

Alongside his client work, Rinat mentors start-ups and scale-ups through international accelerators and business school programmes.
